The wedding gazebo in San Dieguito County Park– great spot for a picnic. ✨️

A wedding had just ended when I arrived, and the eight-year-old niece-of-the-groom talked to me about art while I was drawing, her little sister hanging on my shoulder watching, their parents loading decorations back into cars. She talked to me about the color of shadows, showed me pictures of her drawings on her dad's phone, and said that if drawing were a long hike, and I was at the end of it, she was almost halfway there.

Lots of good energy and beautiful memories here.
