Treebirth

This is another one of my favorite trees, painted a couple of weeks ago.  It lives next to the parking lot at the pond in Palomar Mountain State Park, and it looks like a dead curl of bark sticking out of a mound of dirt.  But it has been lovingly propped up, given room to regrow, and now bursts with new life.

Every time I visit it, it reminds me that holding healing space for another can help support and allow for the most wonderful and unexpected transformations.  I hold that space for others as best as I can, near or far, and I deeply appreciate everyone who has done and continues to do the same for me.

Acrylic on 16" x 20" canvas sheet.

Hope you have a beautiful day. ✨
